This is one of the most important questions an #entrepreneur must answer
before taking any step towards #business. You cannot do without getting a
solution to the question, if not you are merely a dreamer.
Commercialising an idea simply means, making an idea become more valuable for anyone to want to pay for it. It could be as a finished product, service or still just imaginary, but with a great potential of becoming a mega product.
Over the years we have grown to hear this statement, “The grave yard is the richest place in the world, because many died with ideas still locked up in their heads”.
We can actually get an answer to this question. On several occasions, during the course of the training programs we facilitate, I tend to ask the delegates; “What do you want to do?”, the chorus answer is always, “I don’t know”, but asking the same people; “What idea do you possess?”, we get astonished at the well of ideas they start mentioning and almost ask, “Why do you say, you don’t know what to
do?”.
Five points you need to commercialize an idea:
1. Identify a business idea you are passionate about.
2. Identify the value the idea would add to the society at large.
3. What factors does the idea need to become effective; does it need a major requirement of the government or it needs just a few obtainable materials?
4. What is the cost of getting the value in this idea?
5. Who will be willing to pay for this idea?
If you answer these questions, then you are on the path to becoming a
successful entrepreneur.
To help you answer these questions, Robert Range is giving 10
Entrepreneurs one-on-one opportunity to sit with it’s team and together
help you commercialize your idea.
