As usual, Enterprise Creative will be a major part of this year’s Social Media Week Lagos, as we are hosting 3 major events: Women of Content on Wednesday, February 24^th, Freelance Focus on Thursday, February 25^th and Digital Skills Swap on Friday, February 26^th. Freelance Focus will be a special edition of our popular monthly Freelance Fridays series of #business training clinics run since December 2012. T Freelance Focus is especially aimed at the dynamic community of freelancers/solo entrepreneurs from diverse fields, trying to build sustainable businesses from their skills. The clinics have featured several successful business and corporate executives sharing their knowledge on issues of #entrepreneurship and the elements needed to start, run and grow a successful #small business. The theme of the Freelance Focus session is: “Harnessing Your Social Capital to Leverage Your Business” and features three social media and online marketing savvy personalities – rapper Naeto C, media personality Toke Makinwa and digital marketing expert Stephanie Obi – sharing their insights and expertise. The session will also feature a unique “Business Brainstorm” where audience members can ask the Panel directly for advice on their thorny issues.

Digital Skills Swap: SMW Edition is a skills exchange event which will bring together a diverse range of entrepreneurs and pair them for short, timed discussions on various issues affecting their businesses. This initiative provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and build new networks. Come with a project that you need help on and a skill that you would like to share and connect with other tech entrepreneurs who are working on great projects. Think of it like speed dating but for business! You will get to meet and mingle with a broad spectrum of entrepreneurs mostly from creative and digital backgrounds. Women of Content Networking Meet-Up: After a long day of networking and conferencing, a select group of women will gather to meet and mingle over cocktails and canapés on Wednesday, February 24^th at Social Media Week Lagos. This will be an informal networking meet-up for women in various content industries such as film, television, music, theater, radio, print, and online media. The idea is to forge stronger professional and business links between female content producers.  It is designed as a networking opportunity for young women to build their careers and businesses circles while providing mentorship, and potential headhunting opportunities for more seasoned professionals.
